Meet the founders
Gretchen designed and built Patriot Trucker Pay Calculator, combining her software engineering experience with the real-world needs of a trucking household. She created PTPC to give drivers a practical way to calculate expected pay, organize their records, and compare their numbers with the settlement they receive.
Kevin is an over-the-road owner-operator and remains behind the wheel today. His day-to-day experience with loads, settlements, fuel, deductions, and the realities of trucking helped shape PTPC around how drivers are actually paid.

The experience behind PTPC
Before Patriot Trucker Pay Calculator existed, one of Kevin’s trips was paid without the fuel surcharge that should have been included.
We knew the settlement was wrong, but identifying exactly which trip was affected meant going back through the loads and working through the numbers by hand. The information existed, but it was scattered—and finding the missing item required far more time and calculation than it should have.
That experience stayed with us.
Had PTPC existed then, we would have had the expected pay, trip details, and fuel surcharge recorded together. Instead of reconstructing the settlement after the fact, we could have gone directly to the trip that did not match.

Individual drivers can subscribe directly and keep their records private. Fleets can sponsor PTPC as a practical benefit that supports transparency, confidence, and retention. Sponsorship lets a fleet manage access; it does not let administrators view a driver’s private records.
